Preparing you for your future career

All our Fashion and Textiles courses offer you the opportunity to undertake a placement year or professional practice opportunities, nationally and internationally.* Hear from Amarah Hussain who studies Fashion Design with Textiles and is currently on her placement with Matalan.

The fashion industry is extremely competitive, so I knew doing a placement would help me gain real industry experience and ultimately help me get a job after I graduate. Completing a placement will also help me during my final year, where I'll be designing and making my own final collection.
