Welcome to Disability Services
Disability Advisers work alongside you to identify how your disability or condition impacts your teaching, learning, assessment and access to physical and digital resources, and to help coordinate support and adjustments.
Disability Services work with students who have a disability or condition which impacts on their study. This includes students or applicants who have:
- Specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia
- Ongoing mental health difficulties
- Long-term medical conditions such as diabetes, cancer, Crohn's disease
- Social communication difficulties such as autism
- ADHD
- Physical or mobility difficulties
- Hearing impairments or hearing loss
- Visual impairments

Disabled Students Induction Events
If you are joining the University this year and would like to find out about the support on offer to you as a disabled student and to familiarise yourself with the University, please come along to one of our Induction Events:
Tuesday 15 September 2026, 9.00am - 1.00pm - Autism Induction Event - Find out more about the support services and have a look around the campus in a quieter environment with fewer attendees.
Thursday 17 September 2026, 9.15am - 1.15pm - Disabled Student Induction Event - join our larger event to find out about the support on offer.
