Important Travel Information
Temporary Closure of Huddersfield Train Station (19 September – 4 October 2026)
As part of the TransPennine Route Upgrade (TRU) project, Huddersfield train station will be closed for 16 days from Saturday 19 September to Sunday 4 October 2026.
For ease of travel, we recommend the following options:
- From Manchester: Take the rail replacement bus to Huddersfield, departing every 20 minutes.
- From Brighouse: Change from train to a rail replacement bus, departing every 15 minutes.
Amended timetables will be in place and those travelling via train should check their journeys before they travel at nationalrail.co.uk.
