Welcome to the University of Huddersfield PGR Conference 2022: Recovery and Resilience
We are excited to announce that the next PGR conference will be taking place over two days in April 2022. Reflecting this year’s conference theme – recovery and resilience - we are aiming to hold a blended conference (if restrictions allow) with both an online and on-campus presence. We want to celebrate all the fantastic PGR research taking place at the University, despite these trying times. With presentations, panels, posters and performances, the next PGR conference is not to be missed!
Keep up to date with all the latest and follow us on Twitter: @HudPGRConf
We look forward to seeing you there.
PGR Conference Committee
We are delighted to announce that PGR Graduate CN Lester will be joining us as the keynote speaker for this year’s conference. CN’s PhD explored the life and works of the 17th-century Italian composer and singer Barbara Strozzi using performance, autoethnography, historical research, and cultural reception study. CN’s PhD engaged with their other professional work in examining and breaking down gendered narratives, histories, stereotypes, and limitations. Now CN is a performer and composer of classical and alternative music, a member Ursula’s Arrow ensemble, an arts curator, a trans feminist activist, and the author of Trans Like Me.
We look forward to welcoming CN back to Huddersfield this April.
